Lake Tahoe On-mountain Photographer Job
Want to become a professional photographer and have fun?
We own and operate the on-mountain photography service at Sierra at Tahoe in the Sierra Mountains of CA. Shoot and sell your photography this winter. Learn the tricks of the photography trade, skills and a work flow you will use the rest of your life, plus ski and snowboard free, a ski pass is included with the job!
Portrait and Action Photographers Wanted
We will be needing several photographers for the on-going winter season. We are now hiring portrait photographers to photograph skiers and snowboarders at the scenic overlooks on the mountain. We are also hiring action photographers to shoot skiers and snowboarders cruzin'on ski runs and flyin' high in the park. Good with kids? We're hiring photographers to take photos of the kids in ski school lessons too.
Photographer Qualifications
Photography experience is helpful, but not required for the right applicants. Skiing or snowboarding skills are also nice, but if your enthusiastic about learning to ski or board we can work with you. More importantly, you should be out-going, energetic and be a very hard, dedicated worker willing to learn a fantastic business working with folks on vacation. Applicants must own their own camera equipment and have a computer with internet hookup. Camera equipment needs vary depending upon what you are shooting.
Portrait Photographer Job Description
Portrait photographers are stationed at various scenic overlook locations at the top of the mountain with a high visibility sign, and clients ski up and have their ski photo done. Portrait photographers should also have a nice DSLR. In addition, portrait photographers need a computer with to edit and upload photosto the gallery on the internet. Oh yes, and a smile.
Action Photographer Job Description
Action photographers ski or board to various locations on the mountain throughout the workday and photograph skiers and boarders on runs and in the terrain park. If your good or want to get better at action photography this is the job for you. Hone your trigger skills shooting 1000 or more shots per day. Action photographers need a digital SLR with a nice zoom lens and a computer with internet access for uploading images.
Kids Ski School Photographer Job Description
Kids Ski School Photographers photograph the little tikes learning to ski. If you like kids and photography, this may be the perfect job for you. Kids ski school photographers should own a quality digital SLR and a computer, plus have internet access.

Sierra at Tahoe is about a 20 minute drive from South Lake Tahoe which is right on the border of California and Nevada. South Lake Tahoe is world renowned for it's nightlife, because of the casinos on the Nevada side. Most of our employees live in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. Housing is relatively easy to find here, however housing is not provided as part of the job. We can help you by providing a list of contacts for housing.
